Strange Happenings in the Cemetary

When I was 13 my mother, grandmother and I visited the cemetery where my grandfather was buried. We had decided to look for my grandmother's sister, Evelyn's grave. We looked all around where they thought she was buried, up on a hill away from where we parked. We looked for over and hour and we were about to give up. My mother told me to go back to the car and wait. On my way back I saw a grave all by itself, set under a beautiful tree. It interested me and went over to investigate the plaque set in the ground that marked the grave. I read that the man had been a veteran and a funny thought came into my head.

Following my impulse I took off my shoes and put my bare hands and feet on the plaque. I said his name and then said, "Lead me to Evelyn's Grave" I closed my eyes and walked where I felt I should. I went in a straight line and then quite suddenly turned very sharply. I was standing on her plaque! I couldn't believe it. She shouldn't have been in that direction. It was almost near the car, the opposite of where they said she was buried. She was supposed to be buried a hundred yards away!

Needless to say I screamed for my mother! This was another incident that frightened me when I should have been grateful to have been of Service!
